Pineapple Upside-down Cake

1 cake mix (mixed per package instructions
1 can of crushed pineapple
1 stick of margarine
 ¾ cup of brown sugar
10 maraschino cherries.

Melt 1 stick of butter in bottom of bean pot, and mixed together about 3/4 cup of brown sugar. Place crushed pineapple ( I have also done pineapple rings as well), placing about 10 maraschino cherries on top of pineapple. Prepare cake mix per package instructions. Pour the cake mix on top of the pineapple/brown sugar/butter mix, place the lid on the bean pot and cook for about 12 minutes. Check at 10 but depending on the bean pot and the thickness of the mix it could be 10 to 13 minutes. Remove lid and serve with vanilla ice cream.
