Bean Pot Mashed Potatoes
Peel (or not) and quarter your potatoes and put them in the Bean Pot. Add 1/2 cup water and microwave for about 15 minutes. Check for doneness - it will depend on how many potatoes you are doing........When they are done there will be a little water left in the bottom - do not drain. Just stir it into the potatoes, Mash w/a potato masher or mixer right in your Bean Pot...then add butter, salt and pepper - perfect mashed potatoes! Add 1 packet of Ranch dressing to mix

Is it really done?
Remember that all cooking times are approximate and the only way to really know if meat is done is to check the internal temperature.
Use a meat thermometer to gauge the internal temperature and follow these FDA guidelines:
Beef, veal, and lamb roasts and steaks, at least 145° F
Ground beef, veal, lamb, and pork, at least 160° F
All poultry, at least 165° F
All pork, at least 145° F (63° C), with a 3 minute rest time.

1 large jar spaghetti sauce
1 16 oz cottage cheese

Next break up the noodles and place them in the bean pot. Mix the egg in with the cottage cheese and then mix into the bean pot with the sauce. Add 1 cup of water and mix again.
Place lid on bean pot and microwave for 20 minutes stirring every 5.
If it starts to look dry, add a little more water as the noodles tend to eat up the moisture.
I love this recipe because usually when I make lasagna the traditional way, it takes forever to layer, and it just falls apart when I try to cut it up. This way it is already "cut" and everyone loves it just as much!
